Campaign Priorities

The priorities of the Building on Excellence campaign are the facilities and services FPU requires to continue developing students academically, professionally and ethically.

The Building on Excellence campaign goal is $36m to be raised in three-year commitments to fund the following priorities:

Fine Arts Center - $21m
A professional quality fine arts center will provide separate, customized venues for musical performances and dramatic presentations. It will allow space for worship services, chapel programs and performing arts. In addition, the venue will contain display areas for sculpture, painting, photography and graphic arts. Soundproof practice rooms, faculty offices and classrooms are incorporated into the master plan for this facility that will be located at the outer edge of the campus to allow easy access for visitors. Receptions can also be accommodated.
School of Edcuation building - $5m
The new School of Education facility will bring synergy between the school and AIMS Educational Foundation for research and development for math and science education. The building will house classrooms, labs and studio-quality electronic and video equipment.
Scholarships and programs - $3m
Superior private higher education is costly to provide. Financial constraints remain a major obstacle to potential students. It is our goal to make quality higher education available to any deserving student, without regard to financial ability. Approximately 19% of the university’s budget is directed toward providing student financial assistance. The funds also support the ongoing operations of providing excellent learning opportunities for students.
Endowment - $3m
Endowment gifts are a legacy that gives forever. The income produced by these invested funds will provide the financial resources to operate and maintain new structures.
Academic Program Development - $3m
Income from this fund will provide for scholarships, professorships and program development. This endowment will enable the university to attract and retain faculty on the leading edge of their fields, assuring that FPU will provide students the best learning opportunity possible.
Direct Campaign Expenses - $1m
Each campaign priority will bear a fair share of the cost of the campaign. Expenses will not exceed 4% of the amount raised.
